Open biller and front desk positions available with local Womens Care Clinic in Alaska
WOMEN’S CARE OF ALASKA is seeking an experienced and skilled Certified Professional Biller or Billing Specialist, for a full-time position. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm, no weekends or major holidays.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily and accurate posting of all insurance payments - from mail, ERA's and downloaded EOB's from direct EFT payments
Insurance appeals, COB, write-offs, and refund requests
Correction and rebilling of coding errors
Timely follow-up and resolution of insurance denials
A/R Control and collections
Phone coverage for billing related inquiries
Periodic auditing of medical records and billing codes, for government compliance
Back up coding and billing for CPC, of surgeries, deliveries, and hospital
visits/procedures
Monitoring of daily office charges and codes for accuracy and compliance
Electronic and HCFA billing of all patients and cross-overs
Generation and review of monthly reports and billings
Back up of front desk reception when short-staffed
Reports to Front Desk Supervisor/CPC and Practice Manager
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Billing Specialist in good standing
Minimum two (2) years of experience in medical billing
REQUIREMENTS:
This candidate should be well-versed in government and private carrier protocols. OB/GYN
experience and knowledge of INTERGY is preferred, however, it is not mandatory. Applicant should be professional, qualified to work independently, highly-motivated, detail-oriented, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, organized, responsible, reliable, and a team player.
