Staff Vaccinations Required?? WHAT???

I recently attended the call CMS hosted regarding IFC-6, the COVID-19 Omnibus Vaccine Rule. What an interesting time that was!
In essence, CMS is requiring facilities regulated under the Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoPs) to REQUIRE staff be vaccinated or risk continued eligibility for Medicare/Medicaid sponsored programs.
NOW... there are many facilities that fall in under the requirements, BUT there are also many that do not. I am providing this link to the slides CMS provided after the call so that you can review the materials on your own and take from it what applies to you and leave the rest behind. Trust me, there is a lot of information there.
This is important because you may be affected by this and you may not, depending on your workplace and whether or not it is included or excluded from the Interim Final Rule.
Because the topic was so popular, the presentation exceed its limit of 10k participants, but CMS has provided a copy of the video, available by clicking here in the event that you wanted to watch it but couldn't.
Thank you for your time in reviewing this information and know that I am sure there are MANY changes, challenges (both legally and from a practice management perspective) to come, so I will have more to post as more info becomes available.
